33 Years After, Daughter, Ambassador Alege, Ekunle Community Remember Pa Okediran
The memory of Pa Chief Emmanuel Okekunjo Okediran was relived 33years after as one of his children, Mrs Titilayomi Ahmadu took to the social media to reminisce the life and time of the late community leader.
Mrs Ahmadu, a philanthropist and member of the Governing Board of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso (LAUTECH), said the children appreciated their late father’s love and mentorship while alive and would continue to follow his footsteps.
“Chief Emanuel Okekunjo Okediran JP. 33 years ago, you departed this sinful world for a journey of no return. Continue to rest in the bosom of your Creator.
“We appreciate your love & mentorship while here and we are gladly following your footsteps. Rest on Dad, we love you now and always,” she said.
The Nigerian envoy to Ukraine, Ambassador Shina Alege in his words, said late Chief Okediran would be remembered for his achievements in grooming sons and daughters of Iseyin for careers in agriculture.
He prayed that the late politician should continue to rest with God.
“With gratitude to God Almighty, we fondly remember BabaPupa, Baba Ilu Eebo(Oyinbo), one of the most prolific agriculturalists of his time. Continue to sleep peacefully in the bosom of your kind maker. All just like yesterday. O digba na. Ire oooo.”
The Chairman, Ekunle Consultative Forum, Hon. Waheed Olaniyan, in his own contribution on the social media platform, chanted the family panegyrics of Chief Okediran and prayed that the good name left behind by Chief Okediran continue to abide by the children.
“Baba rere, continue to rest in the right bosom of our Lord till we meet to part no more.Amen. 🙏

Omo eji laa woo yan,
Ani oun t’oyinbo ko ni nile.
Oyinbo ko n’isu,
beeni ko l’ewura.
“Iwaju tee doju ko,
ki Olorun je ko maa dara,
Eyin tee fi sile ko nii baje laelae.Amin,” he prayed.
Late Pa Emmanuel Okekunjo Okediran is the father of the renowned African writer, winner of many international awards on literature and medical practitioner, Dr. Wale Okediran.
