The 1993 set of the Iseyin District Grammar School, Iseyin (IDGS), on Tuesday reminisced the life and time of one of them, Architect Lukmon Olakunle Babatunde, who lost his life to a ghastly accident in 2022.

Babatunde was a senior lecturer at the Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki and was on his way to work on a Monday morning when a lorry lost control and rammed into his car.

In a statement made available to The Chronicler Newspaper by the President of the ‘93 Set, Engr. Oladapo Omotoso on Tuesday, the body described the life and time of Architect Babatunde as short but enduring, as they relived the students and colleagues he positively impacted upon while alive.

They prayed for the repose of his soul and heavenly guide for the family he left behind.

“The Executive and Members of IDGS 93 Set Alumni remember one of their own Arc. Olakunle Babatunde, today being 365days after he met an untimely death in a ghastly motor accident along Ibadan – Iseyin Road, while on official duty.

“He was an Architect, brilliant and hardworking academician, who mentored so many in his choice field of profession within the walls of Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki and in private practice.

“He left a rather short term, but his legacies and good deeds live on. It is our sincere prayers that his gentle soul continue to rest in the bossom of his maker. Also, to the family he left behind, they shall remain ever comforted,” Omotoso prayed.
