Aftermath of EndSARS Protest: Price of Rice Drops At Ibadan

The price of a bag of rice has dropped from #32,000 to as low as #28,000 in major markets in Ibadan as major checking points of the Nigerian Customs Services along the border towns in the Oke-Ogun area were vacant of officers of the agency.
Officers of the Nigerian Customs Service were at the receiving end of vandalization and looting that took place at Iseyin, in Iseyin local government after hoodlums took to the street last week Thursday and burnt the community’s police station and vandalized the customs bases, Agro Rangers office and the office and hostels of the Immigration service in the town.
Findings by The Chronicler Newspapers on Wednesday indicated that price of rice at the market fell as sellers got the supply from their contacts from Oke-Ogun area who were using the opportunity of the free road from the region to Ibadan and other points without any hindrance.
