She recalled the moment the State administration approved the establishment of the college and there was need for acquisition of land, saying it was the King that came to the rescue of the school management by securing large parcels of lands for the project.
“I worked closely with the late Aseyin on the new Faculty of Agriculture & Renewable Resources of LAUTECH in Iseyin. There was no request we presented to him that he didn’t process.
“He gladly gave us the land to situate the permanent site on, he mobilized the sons and daughters of the city to donate buildings for the University in Iseyin, he was interested in the educational development of the youth.
“He even jokingly said if the College of Veterinary Medicine could be located in Iseyin, he was ready to be part of the lecturers, Baba was interested in the empowerment of the Youth.
“Even recently, Kabiyesi agreed to be Father of the Day at the launch of the Longrich Empowerment Project on the 7th July 2021 where about 6 prominent personalities in the city attended with him.
“He had high hopes for a new Iseyin land, he will be greatly missed. May his soul find rest with his Maker,” she prayed.
