Burning of Police Station: Iseyin Community Proscribes Youths Organizations

As measures were being taken to address the destruction of public and private properties in the wake of the October 22nd mob attack on Iseyin police station and other security agencies’ posts, the Iseyin Development Union (I.D.U) alongside other bodies, with the authority of the traditional council have proscribed all youth organizations in the community.
According to the National President of I.D.U, Alhaji Bayo Raji while answering questions on the steps already taken by the community to restore peace and facilitate early reconstruction of the damaged facilities, the cause of the whole situation must be looked thoroughly into.
Raji hinted that youths should be seen doing everything towards advancing the progress of the community and not to do otherwise.

“At the last meeting the community leaders held over the weekend, it was unanimously agreed upon that no youth organization should be exist in the meantime, they are all proscribed.
“What is germane to us now is how to build the community and assuage frayed nerves, let us all come together to do it, no more ‘youth leader’, we have called on all of them to warn them against parading themselves as that and we have been assured that so it would be,” he affirmed.
