Church Disclaims Doom Prophesy on Makinde’s Re-Election

The Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) ‘Agbara Olorun Ni Gbani’ chapter in Ibadan has said its spiritual head, Prophet Moses Olagunju never made proclamations on the fate of Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State in the coming 2023 elections.

In a disclaimer made available to newsmen on Thursday, the church described a publication in the Nation Newspaper in which Prophet Moses was said to have prophesied the loss of the election by the incumbent governor as a falsehood and embarrassing, saying it was malicious and uncharitable.

The statement declared that the Prophet never attended any interview programme at Splash FM as stated by the reporter of the newspaper and was not personally interviewed by the reporter in question.

“The attention of Prophet Moses I. Olagunju and the entire Christ Apostolic Church (Agbara Olorun Ni Gbani) has been drawn to an embarrassing publication by The Nation Newspaper in which the man of God was said to have prophesied a doomed for re-election of the Mr. Seyi Makinde the Governor of Oyo State.

“Prophet Moses I. Olagunju and the entire church authority hereby distance themselves from the said false, malicious and uncharitable publication attributed to Segun Sowunmi of The Nation Newspaper.

“First and foremost, Prophet Olagunju is the General Overseer of Christ Apostolic Church (Agbara Olorun Ni Gbani), and not Divine Seed of God Chapel as the offensive publication stated, again, the church authority likes to state unequivocally that Prophet Olagunju did not at any time feature on any programme on Splash FM 105.5 where the reporter mined the fake story from.

“Furthermore, the man of God did not at any particular point in time grant an interview to The Nation Newspaper and its reporter, Mr Segun Sowunmi, neither did he authorize the use of his picture on the said offensive and misleading story,” the church maintained.
