The Iseyin Council of Societies (ICS) on Saturday, honored a member of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso (LAUTECH)’s governing board, Mrs Titilayomi Ahmadu for her roles in developing Iseyin.

Mrs Ahmadu, a chartered accountant is a philanthropist with major interest in girl child care and support for widows in the rural communities.

She was honored alongside others like the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, the National Chairman, Oke-Ogun Development Consultative Forum, Barrister Ahmed Raji, Prof. Deolu Akande, Alhaji Mubashir Azeez among others.

The event which held at Barracks area, Iseyin witnessed cultural displays, competitions, Ewi chats among others.

In her acceptance speech, Mrs Ahmadu said the award was another wake up call to her and others not to relent in adding positive values to the lives of those in need, saying her crusade to educate the less privileged girl child would be pursued with vigor.

”I appreciate the ICS for today’s honor and vow to keep up the effort in developing our root, my major concern now is to strive to put as many as possible girl child with financial impediment the power to get higher education.

”Thank God we have LAUTECH campus in our community now, we will strive to assist those with genuine interest to pursue higher education in this school to build a greater community and a future we will be proud of,” she promised.
