Concern As Three Arrested Alleged Okada Thieves Resurface In Iseyin

Three young boys arrested in November by local vigilante and men of Agro Rangers at Iseyin were reported to have resurfaced in the community on Thursday.
The trio of Jelili Ademola, Bariyu Aderoju and Lateef Muiz were arrested for stealing two motorcycles but ran out of luck as the one they were riding to Lagos had a deflated tyre and the owner spotted the bike.
The Chronicler reported that the suspects were to be taken to Ibadan for prosecution but were seeing moving around at the Ekunle area of Iseyin in the past two days.

When contacted, the Commander, Agro Rangers, Iseyin Station, Mr Aluko said his men have done what was expected of them, which was to arrest and transfer the suspects to the Police State Headquarters at Eleyele in Ibadan for prosecution.

“I know nothing about their release, all we know is that we took them to Ibadan for prosecution as expected of us since the police station in Iseyin is yet to commence operation, that they were released and moving about freely is beyond me.”
Meanwhile residents of the Ekunle community in Iseyin have called on the State police command to commence investigation into the release of the three individuals so as to nip such occurrence in the bud and curb what they called vengeful attack on those that helped in arresting the suspects.
