A socio-cultural group based in Iseyin, Ebedi Frontliners, Iseyin (EFI) has presented a document tagged “Iseyin’s Roadmap For Socioeconomic Progress” to the Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola, Adeyeri 111, at his palace in Iseyin.

The document presented to the King on Saturday contained areas that Oba Olawale could navigate to support the federal, State and local government authorities in bringing rapid growth to Iseyin and its environs in social infrastructure, human capital development among other sectoral areas.

The group’s President, Mr Segun Adeleke who led the team to visit Oba Oyebola said the visit was in continuation of their objectives to protect the sociocultural fabric of the community.


He told the monarch that EFI has intervened in issues relating to politics, socioeconomic, religious, cultural and traditional to nip crisis in the bud.

”We came to welcome our monarch and present the document called Iseyin’s Roadmap For Socioeconomic Progress, this document will guide our revered King on ways to navigate developmental issues to support the efforts of the federal, State and local governments.

”Kabiyesi has hit the ground running with his activities lately and we are sure that he will deliver on efforts to make Iseyin a toast of ancient Yoruba communities in Nigeria.”

In his address, Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola Adeyeri 111 appreciated the group, saying he was happy that a group could come up with a document that will serve as guide towards socioeconomic progress of our community.

He said he will work with the document and other points coming from development stakeholders at home and in diaspora for the good of Iseyin and its people.

Oba Olawale added that in order to bring back the glory of the past, the much-loved annual Ebedi Cultural Festival will be resuscitated to boost economic, cultural, tourism potentials of the community.

”The annual Ebedi Cultural Festival will showcase the good culture of our people that other tribes have inculcated, the exhibition of Aso-Ofi, farm produce and other things that people all over the world know with Iseyin.

”I assure you that there will be a special committee that will meet with major players in the community, make findings about what led to the stoppage of the annual festival and come up with new innovations that will make the next one in 2024 an interesting outing.”

Oba Sefiu went further to promise that he has already started working on registering indigent indigenes of the community on the Oyo State’s Health Insurance Scheme, under the Oyo State Health Insurance Scheme, to provide the window for the poor to access basic healthcare provision.
