Freed Kidnap Victim, ‘Kogerun’ Dies, Buried in Iseyin

Alhaji Wamod, popularly known as ‘Kogerun’ has died from what family sources described as serious injuries sustained when he was abducted some weeks ago.
Alhaji Wamod was released by kidnappers who killed two people during the process of abducting the well known building materials merchant, after collecting forty million naira ransom.








Our source revealed that he was taken to the University College Hospital (UCH) after his freedom due to what was termed ‘grave injuries’ sustained in the forest while he was with the kidnappers.




His remains was buried at the Muslim burial ground at kilometer 1, Iseyin-Moniya road, Iseyin on Saturday as many residents thronged the cemetery to pay him their last respect.








Alhaji Wamod left behind a wife, children, relatives and a successful building materials business.
