Governments, Churches, Society Should Watch Level of Social Vices – Royal Ambassadors
The Royal Ambassadors of Nigeria (RAN) has called on Nigerian government, the church as well as the society to immediately start working on returning the country back to the path morality, as involvement of youths in social vices has become alarming.
This was the message as the Royal Ambassadors of Nigeria marked its 2023 Anti-Social Vices Club Anniversary on Saturday at Lagos with the theme: Taking Territories; Manifesting Godly Virtues.
The Royal Ambassador Marshal, Coun. Bitebo Eregoba (Post Plen.) in his address at the New Covenant Baptist Church, Agege, Lagos, felicitated with the National Coordinator and members of the Anti-Social Vices Club on the celebration of the anniversary, looking back at the journey of nineteen years when the club was founded to restore morality among the youths.
Bitebo said the governments at the federal, State and local levels, the church and the society have got so much work to do in restoring sanity among the youths, as according to him, social vices turn a people against God and attracts unpleasant manifestations.
“On behalf of the RAN felicitate with the National Coordinator and all members of the Anti-social Vices Club, as the club marks her day this 21st day of October 2023 nationwide.
“The journey which started about 19years ago has blossomed to this enviable level now and continues to grow. We encourage us not to relent in our mission, which is to fight against all Social Vices plaguing our Nation and the World at Large.
“As we do this with the theme: Taking Territories: manifesting Godly virtues, may God give us the grace so to do in Jesus’s name, Amen! Go and Conquer!
“We call on the governments at all levels, the parents and society at large to focus on remolding our youths towards the way of God, they should re-engage energies towards instilling the culture of Godly behaviors and morality in the youths, we should not be happy at the untowards manifestations that vices in our society are causing,” he lamented.
In his own words, the National Coordinator, Royal Ambassadors of Nigeria, Eegundiran Oluwakayode Abiodun said the Anti-Social Vices Club as the pet club of the Royal Ambassadors of Nigeria and the objective of the club was to campaign against social vices.
He called on the youths to shun social vices as according to him, it cuts short the grace of God in their lives while also charging parents and the society to tow the
path of God.
“Anti social vices club is a pet club of Royal Ambassadors of Nigeria and the main aim and objectives of the club, which was founded 19yrsrs ago is to work and campaign against all forms of social vices among the youths.
“As we are celebrating this year’s National Anti-Social Vices Club Day, I want to remind our youth that Social vices cut short the grace of God on our youths while people of God should run away from all forms of social vices so as to take more land for Christ.
“It’s important to state that the bible does not support vices, so morality and holiness should not be thrown into the dustbin in our society, Our parents, religion and community leaders must expose youths to the dangers of their involvement in social vices like robbery, kidnapping, internet fraud and the rest and expose them to the words of God, to help in taking more territory for Christ,” Eegundiran said.
