Group Call on Iseyin Indigenes in Southern Kaduna To Leave Troubled Areas
……As Victims’ Corpses Pile up For Mass Burial

The Ebedi Frontliners, Iseyin, a socio-cultural group in Iseyin local government has called on indigenes of the ancient town, living in the troubled Southern Kaduna area to vacate the place as tribal killings continued and bodies of victims are daily piling up.

Over 40 farmers of Southern Kaduna origin were killed in their farms on Monday by persons yet to be identified, but the common knowledge was that the killing was a continuation of tribal killings that have been perpetrated in the area for long.

In a statement made available to The Chronicler on Tuesday, the Public Relations Officer of EFI, Alhaji Segun Fasasi notes that it was apparent that the State government and federal government have not been able to find a solution to the recurring cases of killings in Southern Kaduna.

”The gory pictures of people killed and given mass burial every time there was attack leave sore taste in one’s mouth every time it happens, we have seen that the federal government and the Kaduna State government cannot bring this to a stop, so we urge our people living there to please come back home or relocate to another place.

”It is very disheartening to see how human beings are hacked to death in their own farms and their domains by fellow humans for reasons that are not easily explainable, the Governor is not doing the necessary things to stop the genocide, so what are our own people still doing there?” he asked.
Fasasi said it will be devastating to hear that people from his Iseyin community that have live and earn their source of livelihood in Kaduna will be victims of such attacks, urging Oyo State government to evacuate Oyo State indigenes in the troubled area.
