“I Daily Remember Your Aroma of Care and Love” Ambassador Alege Pens Emotional Note on Father’s  One Year Remembrance

The Nigerian Envoy to Ukraine, Ambassador Shina Alege has written an emotional note to commemorate a year remembrance of his late father, Pa Lasisi Alege.

The late Lasisi who was the Baba Adinni of Ekunle Community died on the 11th of November 2021 and was buried at his residence at Iserin, Iseyin according to Islamic rites.

The envoy in his eulogy which was made available to The Chronicler Newspaper on Friday, said his father’s departure was painful despite Pa Lasisi’s old age, as according to him, the prayers of the deceased still abided with him and his siblings.

“AND SO, 365 DAYS HAVE GONE:

STILL HARD TO BELIEVE THAT MY GREATEST FRIEND AND MENTOR HAS BEEN WITH HIS MAKER FOR 365 DAYS NOW. JUST LIKE 365 SECONDS AGO. ALEGE NIBI AJALA, OMO OWA YARIN KOWO SI, CONTINUE TO SLEEP PEACEFULLY IN THE BOSSOM OF YOUR CREATOR. IT REMAINS A PAINFUL DEPARTURE.

”I REMAIN ETERNALLY GRATEFUL AND EVER PROUD TO BE YOUR SON. YOU TAUGHT ME, AS MY OTHER SIBLINGS, TO BE AND BELIEF IN MYSELF AND NEVER TO WEIGH MY BLESSINGS WITH BORROWED SCALE OF OTHERS AS LIFE IS A SOLO JOURNEY WHERE RACE IS BETWEEN ME AND MYSELF ALONE. AND THAT I ONLY HAVE MYSELF TO COMPETE WITH.

“DAD, I KNOW THAT YOU STILL HEAR ME AS I DAILY SMELL THE AROMA OF YOUR CARE AND LOVE AROUND ME 24/7. YOUR PRAYERS FROM THERE IS STILL WORKING FOR ME JUST AS WHEN U WERE AROUND. THE LEAST TO SAY IS THAT I MISSED YOU.
