IDGS 60th Anniversary: Alumni Installs Solar Lighting System in School Premises

In preparation for the 60th anniversary of the Iseyin District Grammar School, Iseyin, the 1975 set of the school has installed ten units of solar lightning system within its premises.

A member of the ‘75 set, Mr Ademola Afolabi who spoke with The Chronicler Newspaper on Wednesday said the illumination of the school premises is not just to give beauty but for security of the individuals living in the premises.

He said the ‘75 set has embarked upon other physical projects alongside other sets and called for concerted efforts to make the 60th anniversary memorable by the old students of the first secondary school in Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola, Iwajowa and Atisbo local government in the old, hence the name ‘district’.

He also called on other sets to also pick on other physical infrastructure projects like renovation of classrooms, laboratories and other structures that are waiting for attention within the school premises.

Afolabi said “this is just to inform our IDGS Alumni Association of the on going installations of Solar Lightning Systems being embarked upon by the Set of 1975 of our Alma Mater.

“As we are all aware of the up coming 60th Anniversary of the school, less than three months from now, let’s all other plans be rolling into our school from now by the other sets or as per the individuals. We shall all live long with good health and more blessings. Amen,” he prayed.
