Iseyin: More Call For Support For Indigent Students at AEBF Awards Scholarship

Calls have gone to people of means in the society to assist brilliant but indigent students to achieve their dream of getting better education and contribute to the growth of their societies.

The calls were made on Thursday at Iseyin during the presentation of certificates to recipients of ARK Edu Bridge Foundation’s educational support, in which twenty students of different public secondary schools picked around the community would be registered for the 2022 West African Examination Council (WAEC) internal Senior Secondary School Examinations (SSCE).

According to the Vice Chairman of ARK Edu Bridge Foundation, Mrs Tolulope Lawani, who called into the program from America, the Free WAEC Registration for indigent students was to clear a path for the next phase of their academic journey.

She told journalists that the recipients were among others in the community that were enjoying educational support from the foundation, adding that various projects like public school’s library renovation, provision of motorized water borehole for needing communities among others have been embarked upon to give succor to the people.

”We thank God for this program that has been successful like the others we embarked upon, we also thank the people that are the pillars of support for ARK Edu Bridge Foundation for making these possible.

”The program you witness is a phase in the lives of the recipients, it is not a one-off thing, we will follow them up to write their entrance examinations into institutions of higher learning and also give moral support for them to be self-dependent.”

A clergy who was at the event, Pastor Afolabi Michael appreciated the gesture of the foundation on behalf of the parents and guardians of the beneficiaries and called on people of means in the society to contribute towards relieving indigent students of financial burdens.

He challenged the recipients to use the opportunity provided by AEBF to strive for the best in their academic endeavors and make the community proud.

The parents, teachers and benefiting students took turns to show their commendations to the foundation and promised to maximize the opportunity, vowing to reciprocate the gesture later in future, in order to make the community grow.
