Iseyin South LCDA Offers Free JAMB Class To Over 200 Candidates

More than 200 candidates of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in Iseyin South LCDA, Iseyin would benefit from a free lesson for the 2020 ‘Omi Tuntun Free JAMB Lesson’ organized by the Local Community Development Area.

The best fifty among these beneficiaries would also get free Joint Admission Matriculation Boards (JAMB)’s forms as a mark of recognition of their academic performance at the lesson.

These were made known on Wednesday by the Sole Administrator of Iseyin South LCDA, Hon. Raheem Ajibola in an interview he had with The Chronicler newspaper at his office in Iseyin.

Ajibola said the gesture was a bold attempt at reciprocating the welfarism agenda of the Seyi Makinde’s administration in Oyo State at the local level, especially to foster academic development.

He added that the management of the LCDA have went round to inspect public schools and other educational institutions within its purview to see where they needed to work on improving on the efforts of the State.

“Since we came on board, our target, in accordance with the mandate given by the State governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde was to replicate the policies and programs of the administration at the grassroot, especially in the areas of education, health, environmental sanitation and other critical sectors.

“The ‘Omi Tuntun Free JAMB Lesson’ is one of the welfarism program of the Governor that we believe should be used to further elevate academic excellence in our community and we have a scope of over 200 beneficiaries and 50 of them that show seriousness and give their best at this lesson would get their UTME forms for free.

“We have a pool of seasoned teachers and facilities for this program and we are resolute in making it a continuous project to drive academic excellence.

“We have also gone further to look at educational facilities within our purview that need intervention, like classrooms and the rest and we shall soon embark on making a positive turnaround in this critical sector of our life which is education.”

Hon. Ajibola was recently sworn in as the Sole Administrator for Iseyin South LCDA by the State governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde alongside Hon. Mufutau Abilawon for Iseyin local government and Hon. Ogunleke Timothy as the Sole Administrator of Araromi LCDA in Iseyin.
