Iseyin To Celebrate 5th Aso-Ofi Day Anniversary on December 15th

The Iseyin community will again witness the atmosphere of joy and gay as the 2022 Aso-Ofi Day will come up on Thursday 15th December, 2022.

The anniversary is an opportunity to showcase the potentials in the traditional hand-woven clothing materials which is the choice of Africans and Europeans, when it comes to occasions like marriage, burial ceremonies and other moments of jollification.

According to the organizers of the event, there will be interesting activities during the ceremony, among which are fashion parade, rallies, exhibitions, special lecture and musical interlude.

The Aso-Ofi Day event also creates opportunity for tourists to visit other areas of interest in the community like different crafts, tourists’ points and also to purchase food items among others.

The first Aso-Ofi Day celebration was held during the second term in office of the late governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, who was represented at the event by his wife, Mrs Florence Ajimobi.
