LAUTECH Iseyin Campus: ‘We Are Behind You’ Oke-Ogun Group Writes Makinde









A socio-political group in Oke-Ogun, Progressive Movement of Oke-Ogun (PROMO) has declared their support towards the establishment of the College of Agricultural Science and Renewable Natural Resources under the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso (LAUTECH) in Iseyin.
The group disclosed this on Saturday at a Press Conference held at the campus of the school along Iseyin-Okeho road, after a special appreciation from the local government secretariat to the college campus.












PROMO’s national President, Comrade Hammed Saheed Oloro said the walk was in appreciation of Governor Seyi Makinde’s giant strides to take development to all areas of the State, which necessitated the establishment of the college.

“The Association appreciate the Executive Governor and The House of Assembly for the role played in ensuring that the Institution became a success.“




The group called on those working against the commencement of the institution to desist from such step and join the State administration in building the community among others in the State.
PROMO believed that a multi-campus institution of learning will hasten development need of the State, as same is practice in other States of the nation.
“The group call on those calling for cancellation of the Institution to beware because the Institution is expected to entrench and foster unity in Oyo State.
“The group made it known that the Institution is not the first to operate multi campus system and urge whomever calls for such to have a rethink inorder to avoid actions that may lead to communal crises and enmity now and in future.
“The group appreciate the Governor onbehalf of Oke-Ogun and plead with the Governor to please fastrack student’s resumption to the Institution.
“The group assures the Government of the indegines maximum support towards achieving the desired goals for the Institution.
“The President in his speech also plead with the people to help in providing accomodation for the staff and students of the Institution anytime they resume.”
After the Press Conference at the Institution, the group delivered a piece of appreciation to the Governor through the Executive Chairman of Iseyin Local Government, Hon. Mufutau Abilawon.
