Makinde in Iseyin To Lay Foundation For LAUTECH College on Saturday


Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State will be in Iseyin to lay the foundation for the newly-established Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso (LAUTECH)‘s College of Agricultural Science and Renewable Resources Resources on Saturday.
The Governor, according to the national President of Iseyin Development Union (I.D.U), Alhaji Bayo Raji, is expected to inspect various facilities that have been donated for the early takeoff of the campus by indigenes of the community.



Raji made this known on Thursday evening, in a telephone conversation with our correspondent in Ibadan.
The Chronicler Newspaper reported that the former Teachers Training College premises along Okeho road will be the administrative campus of the College, while the acquired land along Ipokun-Atoori road will be used for research purposes.


While congratulating the people of Oke-Ogun for the gesture of the present administration, Alhaji Raji called on the people to go out en masse to welcome the governor to Iseyin on Friday.
“All Indigenes and Residents of Iseyin and her environs should please join us in welcoming the God Sent Man, the ordained Liberator of our time, His Excellency, the Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde, FNSE, to Iseyin tomorrow, Saturday, to lay the foundation of the Administrative Building of the College of Agricultural Sciences and Renewable Natural Resources of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology,LAUTECH, at Iseyin.

“The venue is the permanent site of the College at Ogbakuta, along Iseyin-Okeho Road at 10.00am. The man has broken so many myths.
“His Excellency deserves to be celebrated. Let us welcome him to Iseyin by turning out en-mass to this historic occasion.

“As you do this,you shall also be celebrated. And your children too,” prayed the I.D.U national President.

Where exactly is the college going to be sited permanently? Previous reports indicated that the permanent site is along the proposed Iseyin – Ogbomoso road but I read here now that the Administrative building will be erected at Ogbakuta, along Okeho road. Can you please clarify?
