Mentally Unstable American Citizen Not From Iseyin But Sagamu – Hon. Olasupo

A former Honorable representing Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola and Iwajowa at the Federal Hose of Representatives, Hon. Abiodun Olasupo has declared that the mentally-unstable American Citizen, Kareem Ismaila Bamidele whose video went viral recently is not an indigene of Iseyin but Sagamu.

Olasupo told The Chronicler Newspaper on Tuesday evening that from all his efforts to ascertain the the veracity of the claim that Bamidele hails from Iseyin through his contacts in America, but all his enquiries pointed to Sagamu as the place of origin.

Bamidele was captured in a video recorded by some Nigerians in America where he was uttering incoherent words, but some people have reacted to the video, saying Ismaila, who has the American Green Passport is actually from Sagamu in Ogun State.

A Whatsapp post had accompanied the video, saying ”In the above video is KAREEM ISMAILA BAMIDELE, a native of Ìṣẹ́yìn, Òkèògún who was living with his parents at Ṣágámù, Ogun State before he
won Visa Lottery to US.

“On April 2, 2023, he was found in an uncoordinated incoherent mental state in the City Limits Apartments, in Carrollton, Dallas.

“The information we got about him confirmed that he has been experiencing such mental disorder for some years now. Also above is his Green Card that will expire in 2028.“

Olasupo said the above assertion was just a wild imagination of the poster.

”The man is from Sagamu and his relatives has been located. Please stop this fake narrative of the man being from Iseyin.

”Since we heard of the fact that he is from Iseyin, we have contacted our people in America to confirm, but those who know him have said he actually hails from Sagamu and not Iseyin, they have even located his family members,” he added.
