NBTE Set To Visit SAF Polytechnic On Monday

The officials of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) are expected to visit Iseyin, in Iseyin local Government on Monday to inspect facilities and Human Resources available at the SAF Polytechnic, towards accreditation of five new courses for the institution.

The SAF Polytechnic has been running eight accredited courses since its inception over two years ago which include Accountancy, Business Administration, Building Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical engineering, Statistics and Estate Management.

The visiting team, according to the management of the SAF Polytechnic in an internal memo, made available to newsmen on Sunday, will arrive on Monday and embark on various activities that will culminate in the accreditation of courses like Quantity Surveying, Science Laboratory Technology, Surveying, Mass Communication and Public Administration.

The management hinted that the visit by the NBTE is part of the process of ensuring quality education and sustainable growth for human development.

“SAF polytechnic, Iseyin is expecting NBTE accreditation team from Monday 16th to Friday 20th of May. This is to highlight the institution’s penchant for qualitative education to emphasis its abhorrence for cutting corners and illegality.

“The team will use this period to carry out resource inspection for our newly proposed five courses. The proposed courses are: Quantity Surveying, Science Laboratory Technology, Surveying, Mass Communication and Public Administration,” the institution stated.
