Osun Guber Race: PDP’s Ademola Adeleke Picks Nomination Form

The major contender against governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State in the 2018 gubernatorial election, Senator Ademola Adeleke has picked his nomination form to contest again in 2022.

The Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that the election will hold on July 16th 2022, which has triggered a flurry of political activities in the State.

Various party primaries have also been pegged to hold between February 16th and 12th March 2022.

In a tweet he posted on Friday, Senator Adeleke said that his obtaining the nomination form was a journey to rescue Osun State from the maladministration of the All Progressive Congress (APC), led by the incumbent governor, Gboyega Oyetola.

“The journey to rescue Osun State from the maladministration of the APC Government begins.

“My message to the good people of Osun State is to keep our hope alive, together we will rescue our state. Osun 2022, Imole Deee.“

However a leading politician and former deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Lasun Yusuff recently disclosed that the 2018 gubernatorial election was rigged in favor of the incumbent governor, adding that those that perpetrated the rigging were duly compensated with positions in the State.

He said those that were behind the act would be duly judged by God, as he said even President Muhammadu Buhari confirmed the allegation with his statement that the election was remotely controlled.
