Over-Speeding: One Dies, Undergraduate Fatally Injured in Iseyin Cashew-nut’s Lorry Crash

A 28year old driver of a lorry transporting cashew-nuts within Iseyin in Iseyin local government, simply named Ibrahim, has died due to injuries he sustained after crashing the lorry on Tuesday afternoon.



Ibrahim was reported to be on high speed while on his way towards Oyo road from his brother’s store at Oke-Oja when lost the control of the vehicle brake and crashed the lorry by the roadside.m


Witnesses told The Chronicler Newspaper that the only occupant of the lorry apart from the late Ibrahim was Adegbogbo Mutiu who escaped death by the whiskers as he was rushed to the hospital, where he is responding to treatment.
Mutiu joined Ibrahim at the cashew-nut store to work dirt to the industrial action embarked upon by university lecturers in Nigeria as he recently got admitted to the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State.


A witness said “Ibrahim has been taken home for proper burial, I think this incident will caution us to be careful while driving, especially when we know that the vehicle’s break system is malfunctioning.


”We pray for the repose of Ibrahim’s soul while we also pray God to grant Mutiu quick recovery,” prayed our witness who would not want his name in print.
