Owo Massacre: Fish Out Perpetrators, Makinde Charges Security

Governor Seyi Makinde has sent his condolences to the people of Ondo State, especially the families of the victims of the mass shooting at the Catholic church, where dozens of worshippers were shot to death on Sunday.
Makinde’s condolence was contained in a tweet he did on Sunday afternoon, praying for the repose of the souls of those killed.

He however called on the security agencies to get to the root of the attack and bring the perpetrators of the killings to justice.
“My deepest condolences to my brother, His Excellency @RotimiAkeredolu, the people of Owo, families of the victims and Ondo State on the dastardly attack on worshippers at St Francis Catholic Church, Owo today. May the souls of the victims rest in peace.
“This unprovoked and barbaric attack is condemnable in its entirety. I urge the security agencies to ensure that the perpetrators are found and brought to book.”
Gunmen had on Sunday morning, attacked the Saint Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, Owo, the headquarters of the Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State during a mass.
Owo is the hometown of the State governor, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, who is also a presidential aspirant under the All Progressive Congress (APC), a factor that has raised some theories of political reasons for the attack.
