Oyo Civil Defence Prosecutes Pastor for Raping 7 Year Old in Ibadan

Oyo State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), on Thursday charged Mr Francis Abayomi (M) 58yrs Old to court for allegedly defiling one Akinpelu Emmanuella (F) 7 years Old on November 25, 2020 at Kutamiti Street, off Bashorun Expressway in Ibadan.
The Magistrate in Charge of Family Court 1, Iyaganku Ibadan SH Adebisi, ordered that the Suspect be remanded in NSCDC Custody at the State Headquarters Agodi, Ibadan and adjourned the case to 25th January 2021.

The Suspect allegedly defiled the victim without her consent and thereby committed an offence contrary to section 34(1) and punishable under section 34 (2) of the Oyo State Child Right Law 2006.
Meanwhile Oyo State Command of the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit said it has attended to 343 cases in 2020 ranges from child trafficking, child abuse, child labour, rape and defilement, child in need of care and protection, physical assault and domestic violence.

Oyo State Commandant of NSCDC has frowned at issues of rape, defilement, incent and all form of abuse on child and female gender and warned members of the public who engage in such act to desist from it or face the full wrath of the law and without compromise.
