The Oyo State police command on Tuesday, paraded a former employee of the University College Hospital (UCH), name withheld for defrauding about hundred job applicants of six million, five hundred naira, #6,500,000.00.

The money, as stated in a Tweet by the Command, was obtained by the suspect under the disguise securing jobs for his victims and for aptitude tests and other processes.

Also, the Command also announced the arrest and recovery of the sum of Four Million, Five Hundred Naira (#4,500,000.00) and a metallic colored 2007 Toyota Camry that was bought with the criminal proceeds.

The Police authority in Oyo State added that the command was working with the State’s Land-Grabbing Task Force to achieve zero case of the criminal act.

“Former employee at UCH, Ibadan arrested for defrauding about (100) One hundred job applicants, the (#6,500,000.00) Six Million, Five Hundred Naira Only, under the pretense of providing jobs at UCH, Ibadan: Monies paid according to him, were for aptitude tests, others.

“Infamous land grabbing syndicate on police watchlist apprehended after a failed deal, Oyo Police Command recovers (#4,500,000) Four Million, Five Thousand Naira Cash and a metallic colored 2007 Toyota Camry, bought with the criminal proceeds,” the Tweet added.
