Oyo Special Education Teachers Honour Poly Ibadan Lecturer

The Nigeria Association of Special Education Teachers (NASET) Oyo State chapter, has presented an award of honour to the Head of the Department of Mass Communication, The Polytechnic Ibadan, Najeem Adunola on Wednesday in Ibadan.








NASET Chairman, Comr. Sanusi Kabir Olalekan and the Head Teacher, Methodist Grammar School, Bodija Ibadan, honoured Najeem during their courtesy visit to the Mass Communication Department.
The association said that Adunola has been a good supporter of the Special Needs Schools in Ibadan North Local Government physically and financially for three consecutive years.








“Alhaji Najeem Adunola has been a supporter for the Special Needs Schools in Ibadan North Local Government, Methodist Grammar School Bodija and IMG, Agodi Gate for 3years, we believe he deserves the honor,” Sanusi said.








The body noted that Mr. Najeem Adunola has been paying the salaries of the three (3) Special Needs Schools’ PTA teachers and three (3) PTA interpreters in Methodist Grammar School, Bodija, Ibadan and I.M.G. School, Agodi Gate, Ibadan respectively every month for three years.




“For the past 3years, Alhaji has been paying the salaries of Special Needs PTA teachers in Methodist Grammar School, Bodija Ibadan. He also paid 3 interpreters in IMG School, Agodi Gate, Ibadan which makes these staff to be happy. Anytime he says we should not worry, definitely he will do it. In respect of this, we want to appreciate him.




“At our Exco meeting, we penciled down his name and decided to recognize him and say thank you Sir for what he has been doing.
“We have been looking for this caliber of people in the society for them to be recognized on behalf of these children with special needs.”
