The Okaka community in Itesiwaju local government was agog on Tuesday when the community’s Chief Magistrate Court, to take care of legal matters within the local government area.

While commissioning the court, the Chief Justice of Oyo State, Justice Munta Abimbola said the effort to make adjudication of legal matters simple for the people at the grassroot was achieved with the opening of the magistrate court in Okaka community, to serve other communities within the legal catchment of the area.

Justice Abimbola led a team of the State’s Judicial Commission officials to the event, which was attended by the Olokaka of Okaka, Oba Ayoola Azeez Olatunji, the former honorable representing Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola and Iwajowa, Hon. Kola Olabiyi and other dignitaries.

The building that is used for the magistrate court was facilitated by Hon. Olabiyi as the community event center and was converted to serve the pressing purpose of Magistrate Court building.

While speaking with journalists, the former lawmaker appreciated the collaborative efforts of the people of the community to achieve what he called ‘a time-tested purpose.’

“We glorified God for the successful commissioning of the Okaka Chief Magistrate Court and we thank all sons and daughters of great Okaka for their support for the program.

“It is our prayer that this development will contribute positively to the development of our community and humanity in general,” he prayed.
