Powe Outage: IBEDC Blames Drop in Power Allocation from TCN

The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has claimed that the recent drop in power supply to its customers in Oyo, Ibadan, Ogun, Kwara and Osun region was due to low power allocation from the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).

The company said this in a public announcement signed by its management on Monday 31st of May, 2021 and made available to the general public.

It therefore apologized for the inconvenience and assured that power supply would improve as soon as power allocation improves.

Major causes of low power generation overtime in Nigeria are attributable to drop in the water level at the Kainji dam or lack of gas to power the production.
