Sanwoolu Honors Policeman For ‘Gentleman’ Attitude in The Face of Assault

The Lagos State governor, Jide Sanwoolu has honored a police officer, attached to the Lagos Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the State police command for not showing high level of decorum in the face of assault from a civilian.

The policeman, Assistant Superintendent of police (ASP) Sunday Erhabor was physically assaulted by one Victor Ebhomonyen at Four Points, Sheraton Hotel, Oniru area of Lagos over the weekend.

A viral video showed Victor holding the police officer by the collar of his uniform and threatening to make him lose his job, an attitude that was condemn by most Nigerians who praised the cop for maintaining his cool.

Alade Emmanuel on Twitter said “God saved that guy he met such officer with pleasant behavior, so many policemen would have just shot him dead.”

Governor Babajide Sanwoolu however called on people to give due respect to police officers whose duty is to protect lives and properties of civilians and make formal complaints whenever there is any infringement on their rights by any policeman.
