Members of the Pioneer Movement, Iseyin (PMI) on Friday morning, held a road work to usher in their 2022 annual week celebration.
The walk, which was dedicated to the memory of a member of the movement, Barrister Kayode Asiru, who died about two years ago, took the procession of members and some family members of the late lawyer from Oja-Oba towards Oluwole, Peller road, Koso, Ladogan, back to the Iseyin City Hall.
The President of PMI, Barrister Abimbola Ojedokun appreciated members and lovers of development who trooped out to join the walk titled ‘Walk For Peace, Walk For Life’ and used the occasion to enjoin the people of Iseyin to see security consciousness and fight against illicit drugs sales and consumption as their responsibility.
He eulogized the late Barrister Kayode, calling him a worthy ally in the quest to move Iseyin forward while rallying the widow, Mrs Tope Ashiru to be steadfast and continue the promotion of human dignity as laid down by her husband.
Mrs Ashiru appreciated PMI for the remembrance of her husband and their uncommon support for human and community development.
