Young Iseyin-Born Academic Becomes Professor in LASU
The number of medical eggheads at the Legos State University (LASU) has swelled, with the recent promotion of Doctor Olayinka Atilola to the post of Professor.
Atilola who is now a Professor of Psychiatric and Behavioral Medicine hailed from Koso area, Iseyin, Oyo State and had his secondary school education at Iseyin District Grammar School (IDGS), Iseyin.
He is a clinical and academic psychiatrist in Lagos Nigeria. His key area of interest is in the socio-cultural aspects of child, adolescent & general adult psychiatry. His research in the last 6 years had focused on the mental health needs of school-age children in developing countries including Nigeria and the psychosocial needs of children and adolescents in contact with the social-welfare and juvenile justice system.
