Iseyin-Fapote-Ogbomoso Road Due For Commissioning in May
…….To Be Named After Former Governor Alao Akala
The 76.67kilometer Iseyin-Fapote-Ogbomoso road which will be commissioned by May, 2024 will be named after the late former Oyo State Governor, Adebayo Alao Akala.
The road was newly constructed by the Governor Seyi Makinde administration but was conceived by the late governor’s government while in the saddles as the State Governor.
The Chronicler Newspaper gathered that the contractor of the project has been working day and night since February to deliver on the project timeline.
Meanwhile motorists that have been using the road to link Ogbomoso since almost a year ago saluted the effort of the State administration for opening up the road to the Ogun State and Oke-Ogun business angle, saying it has helped many businesses to prosper.
”The road has helped us to link the northern Nigeria without using the dangerous Oyo-Ilorin road that has consumed so many lives, we appreciate Governor Makinde,” Sulaimon Ajadi, a motorist told our correspondent.
